SILK & COTTON THAN PRODUCTION

project-4
Empowering Weavers Through Silk & Cotton Production
The Silk & Cotton Than Production initiative by Baba Laxmi Narayan Sewa Samiti (BLNSS) is focused on strengthening traditional weaving practices while generating sustainable livelihood opportunities for rural artisans. By providing high-quality yarn, improved looms, and skill development support, the project enables weavers to produce premium silk and cotton fabric rolls (than) that meet modern market standards.
BLNSS works closely with skilled and aspiring weavers from rural and marginalized communities. The organization provides quality silk and cotton yarn along with improved looms to ensure efficient production.

In addition, training programs are conducted to upgrade weaving skills, introduce better techniques, and maintain quality standards. This integrated approach ensures that artisans can produce consistent, high-quality fabric suitable for both local and wider markets.
Sustainability and Future Scope
By combining traditional craftsmanship with modern tools and techniques, the project ensures long-term sustainability in textile production. It empowers artisans to work independently and connect with larger markets, including exhibitions and commercial buyers.

The initiative also creates opportunities for expanding into value-added textile products, further increasing income potential.
