TOOLKIT DISTRIBUTION TO LAC HANDICRAFTS

project-5
Empowering Lac Artisans Through Toolkit Distribution
The Toolkit Distribution to Lac Handicrafts project is a focused initiative by Baba Laxmi Narayan Sewa Samiti (BLNSS) to strengthen traditional Lac craftsmanship and promote sustainable rural livelihoods. Under this program, specialized toolkits equipped with carving, polishing, and shaping tools are provided to Lac artisans, enabling them to enhance their production capacity and craftsmanship quality.

This initiative plays a vital role in preserving the heritage of Lac handicrafts while aligning it with modern market demands.
BLNSS identifies Lac artisans from rural and underserved communities and distributes customized toolkits based on their craft requirements. Each toolkit includes essential tools for carving, polishing, and shaping Lac products, ensuring artisans have access to the right resources.

In addition to distribution, practical training sessions and demonstrations are conducted to help artisans effectively use the tools. This ensures better productivity, safety, and long-term usability of the equipment.
Our Approach
BLNSS works closely with rural Lac artisans, especially from marginalized communities, to understand their practical challenges. Based on their needs, customized toolkits are distributed to improve their working conditions and output.

The program also includes basic guidance and demonstrations to ensure artisans can effectively use the tools for maximum productivity and long-term benefits.
Key Activities
1. Identification and selection of Lac artisans
2. Distribution of specialized toolkits (carving, polishing, shaping tools)
3. Hands-on demonstrations for tool usage
4. Continuous support and monitoring for better outcomes
